It is also unclear whether the project is headed for box office or will air on television. “Breaking Bad” ran for five seasons across six years on AMC from 2007 to 2013.
Gilligan recently signed a three-year overall deal with Sony Pictures TV in July, where his production company has been set up for the past 11 years.
According to reports, the project is said to track the escape of a kidnapped man and his quest for freedom. The New Mexico film office told the Albuquerque Journal a movie with the title “Greenbrier” was set to begin shooting next month.
